- WHAT IS THE EXPECTED TIMELINE FOR THE COMPLETE RELOCATION PROCESS THO THE UNITED ARAB ERIMATES WITH SIMSTRAVELS?
The relocation process to Dubai is designed to be efficient and seamless. Upon receipt and confirmation of payment, Sims Travels initiates the visa application process, which typically requires 3-5 working days. Upon successful issuance of the visitors visa, will proceed with clients flight ticket (including the mandatory return option) and accommodation in Dubai, in accordance with the relocation package. The entire relocation process is completed within a maximum of 15days.
2. WHAT IS THE DURATION OF A COMMON VISITORS VISA TO DUBAI?
The UAE offers a job seeker visitors visa that allows individual to enter Dubai and other Emirates to explore employment opportunities without needing a sponsor. This visa is typically valid for stay of 60days from the day of entry.
3. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE 60 DAYS VISA EXPIRES BEFORE EMPLOYMENT IS SECURED.
If the initial 60-day visa expires before employment is secured, an individual may apply for a visa extension twice, with each extension granting 30 days, for a total of 60 additional days. Thereafter the individual may apply for an airport-to-airport visa, which provides a further 60 days. In total, this allows for a maximum stay of 180 days (six months). Nonetheless, it is uncommon for an individual to require the full duration before securing employment, as this is largely influenced by personal priorities and professional references.
4. WHAT IS THE PROBABILITY FOR SECURING A JOB BEFORE MOVING TO DUBAI?
Statistics indicate that securing a job in most professions or career paths while still in your home country is generally difficult, with a few exceptions for highly specialized roles, such as Senior Auditors (primarily in the Big 4 firms) and senior skilled engineering or technical positions. Dubai has become a global hub for talent, and with increasing geopolitical pressures in other regions, a growing number of professionals are relocating there. Consequently, employers tend to favor candidates who are already in Dubai and available to start immediately. Once hired, UAE law requires the employer, through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), to process your work permit and other documents.

7. IN WHICH CITY OR EMIRATE I WILL BE STAYING?
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a federation comprising seven emirates, including Abu Dhabi (the capital city), Dubai, Sharjah, and others. Although Dubai is internationally well known and is often mistakenly referred to as a country due to its popularity, accommodation arrangements are typically made in either Dubai or Sharjah. Sharjah is located adjacent to Dubai, and many residents choose to live in Sharjah while working in Dubai due to its proximity and accessibility. It is important to note that job search opportunities should not be limited to Dubai alone. Employment opportunities are available across all emirates of the UAE.
8. WHAT HAPPENS TO THE RETURN TICKET AFTER GETTING A JOB?
A return ticket is mandatory in accordance with government regulations for all individuals entering the country on a visit visa. In the event that you secure employment, the return ticket may be kept open and utilized at a later date. The ticket remains valid for a period of one year from the date of issuance.
